Its turned into a horrid weekend, for the end of April 2025, with a high fish number in the water, with more fish arriving, we were hoping on some really good fishing in the last few day and the coming weeks, which was all spoilt by the weather, at least the forecast is for an improvement, just lately we have had a reasonable amount of newbies to going fly fishing, some having travelled a fair distance, with them the serious or rather the genuine ones leaving here with a fly selection, these are flies which have been gifted by lads needing to declutter and make room for more Lol, so again I am appealing to you the dedicated angler for any old equipment or mostly flies, I got Scott to sort out the rods and we have a good quantity of good rods available for use, the reel situation is alright as are the lines but any would be useful, however my fly collection is now best described as really poor, over the last few years I have gifted thousand and I mean many thousands in boxes that I buy myself, then fill by sorting out these flies, which we gift to guys and gals that need decent flies, plus I have my fly bank in the fishing hut which on its own is very well used, in fact it has been reloaded a good few times, so please if you need to sort out your flies, please do it now and post or hand in to me, John Nicol, The Goldenloch Fishery, Newburgh, Fife, KY15 6HZ they are going to a could cause, So also with the really cold winds the Ospreys haven’t been visiting as much, but I did see a few on the Tay taking some fish of the top of the sandbanks
