Its not that cold, yet it’s also not that warm, if you understand what I am trying to say, every night for the past two weeks we have had a morning  frost, the car windows have been frozen solid, however the sun rises up from over the hill and bingo, we have a little warmth, at the moment and for the past week or so the fish have been at this end of the loch, close to the banking’s, pretty much I personally think that the fish are in the ground weeds out in the loch and are moving into the shallow slightly warmer water to feed on whatever is thriving there (shrimp, snails, etc), they fish are not actively taking flies but they are taking them sometimes, just enough to wet anglers appetites Lol, Its been very varied this week and its some two weeks since we last stocked so any fish caught pretty much was looking for something to eat, Monday saw Andrew morgan get 5 using a cats whisker, Sandy Band on the  same had 4, Les Mitchell on Wednesday 3 returned, while Mike had 6, moving to Friday Sandy Band on 4 again this time on diawl Bachs and daddies, Jock Souter piped for top rod by Mike who was on 14, Saturday Rod Thaw was on 16, Sunday saw George Duff get 3 using G.R.H.E., however everyone agreed the afternoons were very cold, alas it still officially winter.
