The last couple of days it has been nice pleasant weather, no rain and a warmish breeze, however the fishing is still been a tad tricky, the new fish that were introduced on Friday, have pretty much gone to ground, as people fishing have struggled to find them, however if you were fishing from the bank you would say that there were loads of fish in the water, quite a few new guys trying us out for the first time, so its nice to see new faces, sadly for them they aren’t getting to see us in what I would say is our true form, when fish are active and feeding, although those days are not that far away, one really good consequence of all this better weather is that there are fewer cormorants visiting just now, or perhaps my laser thing has put them of coming here we will never know, my report is short this week Andrew Morgan confirmed to me that the water is very cold after falling in, while Alec his buddy caught 3, Jock Souter top rod (again) 6, Mike on 3 and Steve on 4, Tuesday saw Kaptin Mike Blank, while on Wednesday farmer Steve had 2, Thursday saw the wellbeing group back to normal with a few out, Les Mitchel and Stuart Penman on 1, plus Bob Mitchell and Steve Ramsay get 2, Friday really windy saw Sandy Band get 1 before giving up, Rod Thaw only 4 on Saturday, while Stuart Cameron on Sunday had 4 from the bank two others did well but no names in the book, so just hard going but it is the 4 of February which is mid winter.
