Hard to write about much when there hasn’t been much happening, so there must have been a fair bit of rain yesterday judging by the amount of water in the boats, two paying rods today one guy brought his girlfriend who had a rod but touched nothing the other rod was George Duff who had 6 or 7, George managed a Tiger on his first cast he reckons it was at least 5 lbs, all fish today he says it fought well rushing off after it was released, still keeping the cormorants at bay, the numbers are slightly less now than before, the water is crystal clear just now and the weed that was showing has all vanished must be lying on the floor, so we have picked up four club day bookings and still have plenty of spaces for more, Rod Thaw caught quite a few fish yesterday and confirmed that the fish were still fry bashing plus they were in small shoals up the side next to the trees at the boat jetty and the far end of the loch, neighbouring farmer has kindly gifted a large round bale to help stop the blanket algae in the early spring it can be an absolute pest all I have to do now is get it into the water, everything is so wet and soggy just now with all the rain, one of my neighbour’s keeps a record of the rainfall in our area and when you see how much above the average there has been, it is staggering the results, it would be nice to think we will have some good days on the run up to Christmas
