29/10/2023 Sunday
Sunday morning saw more rain that had fallen during the night, about another 2 inch in each boat, however the loch itself is crystal clear and fish can be seen no problem in the water in fact from land as well they are in small shoals that cruise all over the loch, best spots this week is up the far bank side under the trees and at the top end near the sprinkler, however some will argue that it is always the middle that produces the best catches, it may be that it has been an extremely wet week but it hasn’t been that cold, a few small disasters this week, but all fixable, the injector pump in my lawn mower failed (broken Spring) my daughters car temperature gauge stopped working due to a broken wire, its just been one of those weeks, to get the permission to shoot cormorants in Scotland the APPLICTION to CONTROL PISCIVEROUS BIRD (Cormorants to you and me ) has to comply with other marine Scotland Applications one being an Application for consent to introduce Fish, Fry or Ova, The Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries(Consolidation)(Scotland) Act 2003, Section 33A, which has to be current and operational at the time an application is sent in (mines Not) so an application has duly been sent off, also to get the permission to shoot cormorants, one must notify the Police of my intentions, the time I will be shooting, so between 7am and 8am, is when I will be shooting and if its like any other year someone will report me, I will get a polite call from the Police which I them inform, and they apologise, another thing about this cormorant licence is last year they allowed me to kill two the year before it was three, but I must say it is fun practising. No one here today which is nice as my little darling granddaughter is in Hospital with a broken finger, car doors are so dangerous I am always shouting at them to be careful however accidents happen
