Well this has been an interesting week and we have been busy, really busy, the Well Being group that comes on a Wednesday is working very well, they the participants are really getting into this fly fishing malarky, the group is now actively getting up to 10 in number plus the relevant attenders so quite a few in attendance Gerry 1 @ 2 Lbs buzzer, George 2, 1 returned 1 @ 2lbs hothead olive damsel, John 1 @ 2lbs green olive, Pete 1 @ 2lbsbrown cruncher, Martin 1 @ 2lbs cruncher, plus on the day D Frmer had 2 rainbows 2.25 and 3 lbs, M Snowden had 1 perch, On Friday I had a group twelve in total, complete beginners of Americans across in Scotland from Philadelphia, staying in the Fairmont Hotel, plus three brought in instructors, they really enjoyed the time here and not bad for novices they caught three fish, adding to the Melee we had a few locals lads turn up so the loch was pleasantly busy C McKenzie 2 on CDC, J Wilson 2 on black emergers, Scott Hampshaw 3 1 killed on Klink hammers, Dave Fleming having a great day on the bank 4 returned on an Emerger Buzzer plus dropped 1, Roy Kelly having a great day 8 on a yellow buzzer plus losing a few, John Bashford 7 having a happy day, t Bruce 1 rainbow and 3 perch, A Melrose managed 1 perch, Yesterday Rod Thaw 6, father and son Mark and James Beaumont had 3 rainbow and 10 Percy perch, G Mc Clough 2 Perch on a yellow dancer , C Wylie 1 perch on a red nymph, On Wednesday George Duff kindly offered to help with an Indian Family that turned up wanting to fly fish, with complete beginners I insist that the students wear eye protection and in fact, Amason do a really good deal just now on eye protectors, so after much to do on the grass and deeming them ready to fish, they proceeded to the jetties where the Father instantly hooked himself in his inner ear with a dare I say barbed fly ( where it came from goodness only knows) a trip to A and E required as it is illegal for anyone to remove a hook above the neck, an interesting and full week.
