Cold is the only word, plus it’s the best word that sums up the events of the last few days, anglers fishing could see fish moving on the surface, not a lot but enough to keep them happy and captured into Fly Fishing mode, so what is the fly to use just now, Black and Red Buzzers, Black and Gold Buzzers, cormorants, Diawl Bachs to name a few, Rod Thaw 8, Llyod John 7, Darrin Taylor 3, George Duff 4, Matt Donaldson 3, Sandy Band4, John Basford 4, Jock Souter 2, Andrew and Alec Cuthbertson 4, plus Jock Souter got 7 on Thursday and that was a really cold day, the fish are there most anglers are saying that as well as the fish that’s been caught there is more that’s been lost or on and off, why is it like this it is just the temperature the fish are not yet very active due to the low water temperature, the composted weed from last season is about to be made into potato beds at the far side of the loch, other areas are to be transformed I hope into wild poppy areas, giving a we bit of colour to the loch surround’s, the osprey picture this week is a stock picture from last year but there was an Osprey here on Friday not that it took any fish but was having a look, we also have two a pair of Grey Herons
