What a horrible past few days, high wind, cold with drizzle rain, I can only say a huge thank you to those hardy lads that have come out fishing, no point in pretending that its fishing great when it clearly isn’t, I mean for the few fish that’s getting caught it is on sinking lines, mid depth down, I mean its so cold, I didn’t realise till I took the water temperature today, that the small rise in temperature 2 weeks ago to 4 degrees has now been wiped out by a drop of 0.8 in the last week, water clarity is 3.4 feet mostly due to the fact that the wind is stirring everything up, but both yesterday and today Sunday saw the most fish being caught after 3pm, however with more fish due soon the numbers will be well up, aiming to get a real good start to the season, looking forward to seeing some of the faces I have not seen for a while, our swans are still doing amazing aerobatics and the pen is really giving the youngsters a hard time one in particular which I have know called “Maverick” he can outfly and out manoeuvre the old boy and actually made him crash the other day, the lads from the Perth and District Group under the wings of Lloyd and Gerry seem to be improving a lot I can see a lot of fish being caught when the weather warms up, so heres hoping for some warmer weather.
