“The Goldenloch” 13/02/2022, Fishery Blog, Week 07.
This is me back online, at last, shan’t say without a few problems, passwords are a nightmare especially the ones that allow you to change them to gain access to a programme or similar, I do try to keep a list of current passwords, but as I couldn’t get my email to work either it all became a bit of a nightmare, but it does start to fall into place eventually, at least it allowed between the rain showers boat repairs which are coming along, I have three boats up here at the house, they have been pressure washed and are turned upside down awaiting the bottoms to be painted, new flooring will be installed and a bilge pump fitted as we seem to be getting more and more rain these days, the weather lately has been shocking for coming fishing, I know that there are quite a few guys out there pretty desperate to come fishing, all I can say is, take your time the warmer weather is not that far away, usually the first week in March sees a big change, it’s got something to do with cyclones and tropical winds in Florida, or so I was told, the swan war is stepping up a few gears, with only one of last year’s swans left, its refusing to leave, it’s been getting pummelled by the large male swan, its dad, for those that have been coming fishing it’s definitely been worthwhile a tad cold and wet perhaps but all have been catching fish, Harry brought his pal Owen, he had never fished before, never even had held a rod, after a few lessons, he was soon enjoying being able to cast using crunchers he caught landed and killed his first ever fish, Sandy Band has been having great success lately as is Jim Anderson Perth who caught 6 on what was a very blustery day, Brian Dewar and Alec Burns were here today and had 19 each, catching in nearly every part of the loch, nice to see them, others fishing this week weren’t catching as many as that but catches were good, especially in the afternoons The “Goldenloch Fishery” offers Boat or Bank fishing or both, superb location in North East Fife, Quiet, Relaxing, no background noise, beginners welcome, abundant wildlife.
