“The Goldenloch”
05-April-2021, Fishery Blog, Week 14.
Much better weather now, this last week has seen some great catches, with four warm days, that has made such a huge difference, with catches being a lot easier, too easy for some, but the majority of anglers all caught a decent catch, David Wilson Kings kettle had 10 when I spoke with him half way through his session, Rod Thaw Glenrothes had an amazing day his comments were that most nearly all the fish caught seemed to be overwintered with massive tails and fought fantastic loads of bloodworms on their bellies, A Morgan and A Cuthbert another great days fishing with 8 and 6 released using buzzers, Drew Graham had 5 all released from a Black Pennell, Geoff Gad keeping 3 realised 3 from an Olive Nymph, Grant McGregor using a small black c/r 12 his buddy using hot head flies killed 1 and c/r 4, Neil Christie lost 1 but admitted he wasn’t really in the mood for fishing, Alan Hyndman had 7 using various dry flies, Buzzers and a Kate McLaren, Jim Souter killed 2 I on a small black/yellow and 1 using a pink shrimp. P Cachia fishing from the bank as usual 7 using black Pennell and damsels, so you can see the fishing is picking up, however its been a very cold weekend and this morning Monday we didn’t have any frost last night, but we do have a north east wind with a very low temperature just now, on a good point no rain and the air pressure is lifting.
