Isn’t life Strange, mind you being a fishery owner is even stranger, Conditions for going fishing this year couldn’t be more difficult if some one was to plan it, I mean we have had bright hot weather during lockdown, that caused the weed to grow exponentially fast, we had a real cold spell, then back to really hot, we had lots of flat calms and then lots of really windy days all this undispersed with some of the heaviest rainstorms ever, but some thing happened at that last really crazy thunderstorm cause the fishing here is weird, the fish are active and moving about, however they aren’t really taking much of the surface Mr Robertson on Friday night had 14 using bloodworms, another guy last night fishing from a jetty had 8 with bloodworms under a bung, most lads however fishing conventionally are only getting ones and twos, Brian Kemp, Kirkcaldy had two as did John Bashford Kinross, Neil Christie one, but he was not here long, out on a boat yesterday and at last I can pretty much say that I have managed to get on top of the weed and it is dying back in places, Ospreys are causing chaos just now, A massive thanks to all that have donated stuff I have a lot of sorting to do and a huge thank you for the rods, I am expecting a bit of a surge in really keen beginners’ and what I have been given is a massive boost, You have to understand although they desperately want to fish the most important part is getting the skills and not having bullets (Flies) to put in the gun makes it very hard, over the years I must have given away thousands of flies in boxes and whether they became good anglers or not or just casual the important thing is they can do it, the other thing is your old stuff is going to a great use, regular photographer Steve got some amazing pictures on Saturday of the Osprey despite being bother by Beanie and kids
