Pretty much a written off few days, a few out fishing , the real adventure seekers, Kaptain Kemp out on Friday, now most of the time he was here you couldn’t see him for fog, but you could hear the line swishing and that’s when I realised we were not alone, further round the Lochside was Steven Scobie out trying out yet more of his amazing creations, a successful few hours fishing was had by both, Saturday morning saw the loch looking pristine but really breezy and with the oncoming storm with the prophesy of doom, I took the decision to take the boats out the water, then some lads arrived so I just let them fish for a couple of hours up the bankside plus  it was really windy at this point, a huge amount of rain must have fallen during the night and with the wind the loch got a real stir up which does a lot of good, with five boats out the water for maintenance just now I have plenty to do, lots of painting etc, needing some big heavy anchors like the ones that used to be on Loch Fitty thirty + years ago, I know that there was a guy had some but cant remember who, Robert-Iain McAndrew was fishing yesterday and had an interesting day Anne and I went down to Eyemouth Coldingham for the day, leaving Robert to fend for himself, which he seemed to do by all accounts, here’s hoping that all you lads in your caves are getting ready for the oncoming season, so far this year we have had two loads of fish (Rainbows) in the loch with another due so the start should be superb, pretty much over the hump of winter now, OK maybe a wee bit snow or ice to come but it wont be much, so an early start to the oncoming season would be nice.
