“Goldenloch”
November-04th– 2019, Week 43
What is there to say about the last week, “horrendous” springs to mind, we have lots of fish here in the water and were all primed for some great fishing, however all we got weather wise was gales and rain, the last time it rained like this was in the mid 90s when we had a massive October flood, the loch outflow could not take the volume of water, certainly this year must have been a good year for the eels migrating, I removed our Bio grid, which is the ones that stop the trout escaping as last year at this time of year it was completely chocked with eels trying to get back to the Sargasso sea, but because of the rain I have to watch that we do not get a choke due to weeds getting washed down the monk, two years ago we decided to put in new drains and surface water run offs, thank goodness as it has paid off due to the car park and boat area remaining free from water, its all good though and some days its been positively pleasant and some great fishing Neil Christie, Kirkcaldy had another good day, A Morgan getting 6 all returned, a good rise of fish at darkening, Sandy Band, 3 black/green tadpole, Colin hay had 9 viva black/green cat, Rod Thaw 6, Ewan Hyndman 3 returned, Ali Radhi, 3 on s yellow dancer/blob keeping 2, an old friend from long ago Richard Jackson returning to the Goldenloch had 1 fish at 3 lbs another old friend visiting was Dave Gonsales, unfortunately, Dave didn’t catch anything but he lost 3
