Septemer-30th– 2019, Week 37
Today the weather is glorious, its warm, sunny, fish rising everywhere, birds singing colours in the tress as autumn approaches, it is the end of Sept, the water temperature has dropped 4 degrees this last week, it is currently at 12.2 degrees, making such a massive difference, with fish being caught now on dry flies and small naturals, the recently stocked, well four weeks ago brown trout have been a major success a good few anglers complementing not only the fight from them great, but more importantly the flavour, that’s what catching a good fish is all about, we have had a lot of rain in the last week, the water level is at overflow, a year ago we had a water level of a foot below normal and a temperature of 19 degrees, with all the rain that has fallen you would have thought that the clarity would be poor but it isn’t and everywhere on the loch the visibility is 100% looking into the water you can easily see fish under the boats, best catches this past week has been Rod Thaw, Jamie Thomson, Peter Smith, Freddie, Gordon Henderson, all with huge amount of fish caught and returned, D Robertson, Rosyth, had 5 brownies and 5 rainbows all returned caught on Kate McLarens and Bibio snatchers, M and G Doherty 5 caught using a Peter Ross they kept 2, Eric Gibson 2 on a Black Pennell, Harry Smart 7 all returned using CDC and black buzzers, traditionally at this time of year the fishing is just so much more enjoyable if the weather is good, making good fishing is being able to just turn up and go boat or bank or both without and stress and that you can see lots of fish before you even start so come here and try it you wont regret your decision
