“Goldenloch”
May-12th – 2019, Week 17
Great news, Fishing is pretty much Normal, after the cold and changeable winds we have now dropped into a weekend of sunshine and heat, so Ok its put the fish down due to the sunshine, but at least they are easier to catch, however the evening rise is spectacular, Friday night Colin was fishing and he was shown the way forward with literally 100s of fish all feeding at the same time, this lasted from approx 7.30pm till after 9.00pm an truly amazing sight, was his words, again last night Saturday the 11th May the whole process started all over again, this time two anglers were treated to a loch full of fish all feeding all at the same time, catches this weekend have been good but a few strangers fishing who don’t know the water and where to go at the right time haven’t done as well as others Mike Farrel, Letham had an amazing days fishing, the Osprey hasn’t been visiting as regular thank goodness, but we have three beautiful herons that are feeding on the stickle bats, this spring we had a lot of plans for some major upgrades to the fishery, just things to make you the clients trip more comfortable, pleasant, last year we made a hard road allowing cars right up to the boats for disembarking and the reloading batteries and gear etc, we also made a new wider better access along the loch side, again for those with dodgy knees and hips, it was the plan to convert and relocate into a new lodge, a new Kitchen, dinning area, new toilets and changing room with ladies facilities, so part one is the open trench that is currently by the road now this is for a mains electric, a much improved supply, higher pressure mains water, and wi-fi, that is happening now, part two, due to my accident has been delayed, (the new Lodge) as I now would very much on a point of Health and Safety and also very much due to my accident, I am going to make life much easier to mount and dismount electric motors, batteries from boats, also the actual getting in and out of boats to be much easier and safer, at every fishery this is a area that is irksome, I don’t now the answer so I may be visiting some places to see how others do it, so what about the fishing, plenty fish, all hard fighting, full of snails shrimp, mussels great condition well acclimatised to natural feeding, just wating for you to come and try to catch them.
