So where to start, firstly Kaptain Kemp brought his pal up to let him see what he does when he goes fishing, it was very bright sunny day, he was given a rod line etc, so Neil Christie, from Lochgelly was on his first time fishing experience and he caught a fully finned, very fit 2.5 lb rainbow, absolutely chuffed with his achievement, Neil has now become addicted to fly fishing, studying at every moment you tube videos’, the rest is now history, back again on his own and I suggested a white canis fly, and low and behold it wasn’t long before he had 2 fish, no stopping this man, Colin Hay, using very traditional sporting flies had a brilliant nights fishing, Silver Invictas / Peter Ross / Woodcock Yellow to name a few, 8 returned with every fish giving a really good account for itself, Dave Wilson, Kettle 9 returned and Rod Thaw Kettle 6 returned, 4 young boys a few beginners had an amazing relaxing day on Tues, Ronnie and Lewis back fishing for some relaxation had a few from the top jetty but also had a great time camping, Secondly Owen Anderson who is a keen youngster wanting to learn fly fishing techniques has been teamed up with John Bashford an accomplished angler, Owen who is quick to learn, on his first trip had a good fish and returning another day, had a further two, with the water clarity good just now, the weeds pretty much under control, the loch is looking very good but it can still be very challenging, two lads yesterday had loads of knocks and fish on and corresponding losses but they eventually had to settle with just one fish, yet last night, was completely the opposite, D Robertson, Dundee, had a fantastic night, so too did Colin Hay, the weather is this single most factor in what happens on the day, yesterday was really windy and hot, but last night was cool and calm. Fishing static buzzers, P Cacnia, had a really good day, where the medicine for him was tranquillity and catching fish, batteries restored he left with a smile on his face which is really what it should be when coming to fish at the “Goldenloch”
