Goldenloch
Been noticing and reading in social media platforms that there seems to be a huge shift towards some anglers now promoting their local fishery and its getting to be dangerous comments, please realise that these guys are playing with peoples livelihoods, I do my own reports and have done for a long long time, I feel I can say what I want about my own fishery, I am sure that the owners and operators of other fisheries are more than able to promote and inform on there own fisheries behalf and its up to them to curtail certain clients that may or may not even have a clue how other fisheries operate, if not there will be a lot more nasty vibes to deal with, every fishery has its own way of working and its own type of client some run a lot faster than others but just recently a guy that didn’t want to give up was forced to because of the lack of customers, to day a statement was made “95% off fisheries allow the bung in britain the other 5% that don’t are closed no customers fact” in social media that is absolutely untrue and refers to a particular type of fishing, what’s gone wrong why has it suddenly become a customer lead sport is it that anglers think there are no rules and they can do whatever they want, seriously that is not what it should be like, Rant Over.
With the weather improving a little, not a lot, things are beginning to start moving about, Trevor Peach and his spritely father had an amazing day from the bank with 12 fish caught, but the best piece of news for me was that “dad” is a retired entomologist and an expert on all things small and wriggly that develops wings and flies, So anglers please if you or your wives are pulling out flowering shrubs no longer required bring them here we have plans, three days this week with warm sunshine and the fish are moving about, a lot of them being bigger than the normal kilo fish, Alec Burns, Kirkcaldy had a flying start yesterday with 4 fish caught before his boat partner even had 1, however that changed later in the day, smiles all round yesterday Sean Burger enjoyed his day and both had on their first visit this year what could best be described as a phenomenal days fishing spoiled by one fish which on examination looked like a result of a cormorant attack, something that is happening more and more just now as the numbers of these birds are increasing dramatically, but the good thing is the boys dispatched the fish and left it for me to see “Just Perfect” thanks lads that’s what it should be like, nothing worse than slipping it back in the water to rot and cause infection, never mind warmer weather soon the long cold January is over.
