Goldenloch
Jan-15th-Week-02-2018
Not much happening these past seven days, been a few guys up to fish sometimes, we are ice free, others times its got a tad of Ice, Stewart Milne and Sandy Drummond had a morning of youthful adventure, both arrived on the off chance that after an evening of -7 we would be ice free, “never mind it wont be that thick” of they went, 3 hours later time to call it a halt, but we have all done it at some stage in our life, just the day before Mark Robertson a blast from the past arrived and fished from the bank all afternoon on a 3 kill ticket which, he quickly achieved in 10 minutes, however it then slowed down and with a further 3 returned in the next few hours, he was totally chuffed, but did say that he was having to fight with an iced up line and the eyes of his rod freezing, Brian Stewart, Dundee, had several fish on black diawl bachs and ace of spades, as did Conner Izatt and his Dad, who to be honest really did brave the elements on Sunday afternoon, but a great afternoon was had with 10 to the boat not bad considering the conditions, a lot of wind and rain they also were using ace of spades and black shipman’s buzzers, but they did catch a “Goldenloch Grand Slam” a Blue, a Brownie and a rainbow all on the same trip, an achievment held by a few especially Huff and Puff “The Grimme Brothers” I do hope both you guys are well and survived you hospital visits as I know you were a bit nervous about this winter, Hi John I know you will be reading this and your brother Eddie has been keeping me up to date on the events that saw you ending up in the Vic, I can only say I will be visiting you soon as I know that I wont be giving you a cold, stay strong and get better there are fish out there with your name on them. So with snow forecast and a night of gales the weather is being pretty true to form, I just means that there is something nice about staying indoors on a cold day, Best Wishes to Colin Neville in taking over Fort Springs fishery, I am sure a lot of fun days are ahead for the clients at the fishery one thing for sure there is a lot of enthusiasm from Colin.
