Goldenloch
Today Sunday, was a day of 2 halves, with a bit on the end, if that is the best way to describe it, started really early anglers at 5am, when the fishing was great, absolutely ace, by 12 am it had completely tailed off, then however it just picked up again as the day progressed, around 5ish the two lads nearest on the bank just couldn’t keep the fish on, strange thing though, 8 anglers in the morning averaged 8 fish each and 8 anglers in the afternoon average 8 fish each, but the best was for the end of the day fish were having a feeding frenzy around 8pm with a massive sedge hatch, its been good all week, not overly busy but very steady, the weeds are now no longer a problem, the bits that are left are now a blessing as that’s were the fish are lying, the water clarity has been pretty good all year and really its just when there is a very heavy rain or a particularly strong east wind that it gets a bit shady, I must say a massive thanks to Tomaz the supplier in these special ropes we use as they are the bees knees, completely revolutionanised the weed clearing procedure, we can cut and pull the whole loch in basically two days, before it was weeks, and we have just received yet another rope to try and by the looks of it, it may be even better, catches for some have been pretty good, Alex Millar 4 rainbows on Yellow Owls, Willie Robertson, Dundee using Hares Ears, had an amazing evening on Thursday past, Peter Haynes, Kirkcaldy a fantastic day in the wind caught 12, again hares ear, Brian Kemp, Kirkcaldy 8 also says he lost much more, P Stewart, Colinsburgh 3 plus 2 returned using diawl bachs, Using hoppers Alan Hyndman returned a reasonable amount of blues and rainbows plus a couple of brown trout and Leslie Mitchell, Dunfermline, had 5 plus lost as many, several complete beginners this week all caught fish so its been a good week.
