Goldenloch
February-13th–Week 07- 2017
Mostly Cold, is the best way to describe the weather, noticeable however is that there are a reasonable amount of calls from anglers wanting to know about or discuss the fishing, it is pretty obvious that the prolonged spell of them being stuck at home indoors has now caused a pretty acute symptom of “Kabin Fever”, This last week has seen a few calls, best described as from opportunists’, these are guys not wanting to miss a warm, or rather a warmer days fishing, preferably with rising fish, bookings were taken for both Saturday and Sunday, problem is a call taken whilst you are out and about is firstly in my mind do I have a boat free, then taking a name is like Mr Hardtopronounce far less hard to remember, so its my fault that I don’t write them down, but it would be nice that if guys take the time to phone to book, then decide if its to cold or miserable, please rephone and say your not coming, But for some even though its cold and wet, going fishing can be rewarding, not because of catching a few fish, but by just being out in the wild, wind and rain can be both be refreshing and invigorating, there is nothing like the sting of cold rain on your face to let you realise that you are alive and well, its also very healthy, so at the moment we like your selves are stuck indoors its far to wet and cold to be outside, but better weather will be here soon and we will be ready and waiting, this past week has been good for those fishing especially Mr and Mrs C Ormorant, fish every time and usually first cast, also some anglers doing pretty good, cant say the name as he maybe should have been working had 6 on Friday which by all accounts was wet and windy.
