Goldenloch
August-01st –Week 31-2016
It’s the First day of August doesn’t time fly, this report is late cause my computer seems to be ill “again”, thankfully we are still busy at the loch with weeding, and a few alterations, its badly needing some revamping, here and there, with a bit of digging round the edges, the pictures show a massive amount of weed being removed and also the drone video shows the effectiveness of this fancy rope that we are using, genuinely we have got tons and tons of weed cut, we are awaiting a large strong wind to blow the floating bits of weed in to the side, tomorrow weather permitting we will attack the side of the loch next to the jetties, and perhaps later in the week the far end, one of the guys that was a major complainer about the weed was back this last week and was told where he could fish, now in clean water, but alas no he was back in a really weedy area not that was not yet cut and when asked why he was there, answered “this is where the fish are and its good dry fly sport” I rest my case, however its been a really good weeks fishing and apart from one chap the average catch is about 7 fish, this week also saw a blue of 6lbs and a brownie which was returned of approx 6lbs, almost every angler fishing leaves the Goldenloch with fish killed, which in itself is a testament to the quality and size of the fish, Ronnie and Lewis, Forsyth, Kirkcaldy again had a tremendous evenings fishing on Sunday, however dad managed to be the better angler this time with 4 more than Lewis, but if I can find the mislaid flies I sorted out for him I am sure he will soon start beating his dad, The Kahts Whiskers’ Angling Club were here for their annual bonfire night and discussion group therapy lesson, seems like they had a good night, this year the Police were not required and everything seemed to go well, however a greys landing net has gone amiss and although it hasn’t been found I am sure it will turn up.
