July-27th–Week 27-2015
Well BOOM, BANG,BOOM, the fishing just fell of the cliff, for two days, at the weekend, before that though it was fantastic with everyone catching loads, and then the wind and atmospherics changed and it (the Fishing) became a disaster, all weekend it has been hard, luckily we have loads of fish in the loch so anglers were still able to catch some fish, and they did, with perseverance, you could definitely see the guys that knew what they were doing over the lads that just fish casually, for example Scott Mitchell Dunfermline, and his mate Dave had a really good day, with I think 8 for the boat, others had very similar results, but the pain was being felt by those with a lot less expertise and a few blanks were about but I personally think the main disappointment was for those that were used to fish biting and loosing them, so what caused this well for the last few weeks we have had a really nice warm wind from the South West and it was a very steady reliable wind / breeze, suddenly for two days we have had a swirling East wind / but the damage was being caused by the temperature and barometric pressure changes, it wasn’t till I looked at the readouts from my wee weather station that I could see that they were jumping up and down, which I have never seen before and then on inspection on the BBC weather website it would seem that East coast Scotland Fife was right under a clash in two weather fronts, Still though there have been some real good outcomes with a complete novice coming with granddad and some instruction provided a fantastic 3lb rainbow was caught good stuff, there is still a light shading of algae in the water but nothing like it was, it doesn’t affect the fishing unless the angler is not catching anything and needs something to blame as has happened a few time over the weekend, funnily one guy was completely cursing the algae until he caught a 4lb rainbao and then another at 2 lb suddenly the algae was not a problem, but its nearly all gone now and actually is some days.
