Goldenloch june-15th –week 21-2015
Its Mid June, that long haul through spring seems to be over, warmer days and evenings are something for anglers to look forward to, fish rising and feeding is a joy to watch especially when it happens all at one time, it actually something that used to be common but is now rare to see, on Saturday past for example, we had a near perfect day for fishing with fish rising in all areas of the loch, all day, pure joy for those that were fishing and one angler on finishing his session actually said he had a sore arm from catching fish, some bigger fish are being caught now and with one reportedly prowling the weeds are the far end of the loch seemingly in double figures, yet to be confirmed, however it must be a few years old if it is that big, a tagged fish caught which was one of five that was tagged brought its captor either a summer season ticket or £100, opting for the season ticket was his choice so I recon we will be seeing a lot more of Davie, some colder mornings have happened this past week and can be attributed to the stormy winds that were battering the east coast, and this strangely affected the fishing on Tuesday past, it was one of those days that started with a cold breeze and a lot of clouds travelling fast across the sky, a few angler arriving were met with choppy water and a cold feel to the air, after 4 hours hard fishing no one had caught anything the weather completely changed and the wind died and the sun came out almost instantly everything changed and with two new anglers arriving they went onto the loch and started catching fish, soon everyone was happy again and it just goes to show that the sun shinning makes the days fishing much more interesting.
