A huge thank you from the goldenloch

During the Summer 2014,and for the benefit of the kind anglers that donated equipment and flies its been a successful season, some six full fishing kits { rod reel net } with a comprehensive selection of flies have been given to six youngster whom I don’t think could not have afforded otherwise, and I hope they go on to fish albeit at any fisheries, I have told them to introduce themselves as beginners, and hope they should be treated as such, 7 school groups this year and 9 youth groups have been here with approx 70 youngsters getting the benefit of your kindly donated equipment, we have still got an excellent fly collection which was used as recently as yesterday with a lad bringing his four mates to learn to fish and yes 2 fish caught but sadly not bagged as overemphasis whilst retrieving is always a problem, So it’s a HUGE THANKYOU from us here at the Goldenloch and please if you are asking or receiving new equipment from Santa please remember we sure can use your old stuff. again Thank-you John and Anne Nicol

Goldenloch nov -24-, week 47, 2014

Been some excellent fishing these past few days with fish getting caught in all areas of the loch some participants catching some extremely fine specimens’, good for the table, with four or five settled days the fish are back up in the water looking for grub it was nice to see on Saturday and yesterday loads of fish moving about, not so sure if they were just popping there heads out the water or if they were feeding but there certainly was plenty of them, Drew Graham, Kennoway an old friend and proper sport angler had a great day with 3 fish caught and 4 brownies returned all on a blue damsel and all from the bank, John Toleson had 11 on Friday all returned with 3 over 3 lbs, again from the bank, Don Stewart Glasgow, and John Grey, Auchtermuchty, had 9 each on wets and buzzers, John relieved as he had been having a poor spell, Andy Burgerseed had a couple of brownies on very tiny buzzers, four lads from Perth on Saturday having a good day despite the cold 10 fish, it will soon be December and Christmas vouchers are available as prezzies just phone to arrange, whatever suits your needs can be arranged. Special passes for lads with small babies can be done BB.
