November the 10th and its cold really cold the fish have gone to lie on the bottom, but fish can be caught Steve Smart, Strathmiglo showing is skills caught a couple of brown trout and lost a few others, fishing with micro flies and small lures, Jeremy Anderson, Coatbridge likewise had 3 of which 2 were brownies using small stuff and fishing a very slow retrieve, lately we have had a huge amount of rain and the water is not dirty or cloudy but just ever so slightly brown which I expect to clear soon, the grass eating carp have completely scoffed everything green and weedy in the loch, it is worrying now that they seem to have grown quite considerably since there introduction that there will not be enough grub in the loch to sustain their growth, they do not like being handled and we have had a few die which is unfortunate, a consequence of being caught and lifted out the water, mostly due to angler curiosity and we know that the osprey took a few what we don’t know is how many are left, one up points is it now very noticeable that there are a lot more fish round the margins and likewise more fish being caught from the jetties than ever, Martin Nicol Perth fished twice this week and had 3 or 4 fish each time from his chair which due to bad knees is his way to fish, Henry Thomas, Craigsanchor, returning to fish after a 11 year break caught 1 rainbow, it was 6lb and made his day, he was using a yellow dancer which given to him the last time he fished, a few bigger fish are moving about but not until after 3pm this seems to be the best time for the fish to be feeding D Graham fishing from the bank had 3 and lost a few, but its cold and really the best time to fish is late afternoon
