Goldenloch sept -29-, week 39, 2014
Its been quiet this past week basically it was the Ryder cup week and with many clients keen golfers as well I suppose it would have been impossible to compete, but didn’t they do well, something special when there is team spirit, the fishing’s been pretty good and with one or two surprise visitors this past week, it pretty fair to say that some or rather most of the fish caught this summer have been outstanding and none more so than in the last few days Brian Anderson, Crieff fishing with an old buddy took 4 all caught on Diawl Bachs and Rosie Hampton, Dundee had 6 all returned using spiders and sedges, Friday saw a Scout troop here and with some tuition first they went on to catch 2 lovely rainbows both 3 lb +, it was really good to see a firm wind at last bringing all the weeds that were cut some three weeks ago, also during this wind the fishing just got so much better Don Stewart Glasgow fishing with John Grey Auchtermuchty both catching 6 or more using their latest purchase of a box of 200 flies courtesy of the Glasgow angling centre for £20 and every fly a winner according to John, fishing from the bank has been really good lately, especially near the old hut with fish showing and jumping everywhere Tom Anderson, Perth had 9 all returned not bad when you realise that he has an artificial leg, the most interesting thing about Tom is all his casting is done sitting down and boy can he put out a line.
