Goldenloch october 15 / 2012 week 42
Boy what a week it started quite well with a good weekend 8 complete beginners all had some really good experience, with at least 6 of the being enthusiastic enough to want to take up the sport, Mondays fishing was just amazing but we noticed that the fish had moved out into the centre of the loch, the bank fishing was just that bit harder this was noticed the previous week however fish were still getting caught from the jetties, Tuesday and Wednesday were just amazing and then we had all that torrential rain which fell on Thursday morning, the loch level rose nine inches and the water just went murky for the whole of Friday, but by that evening interestingly the fish were rising alone the shore lines and the water was completely clear, I actually wrote a quick message on the website that if any one wanted to catch fish now was the time that was on Wednesday, what I didn’t know was the amount of rain that was going to fall, catches in the past few days have been good with a lot of anglers getting 6 and 7 fish, some guys even more, Friday saw two gents being asked to move along to another spot and on refusing were asked to leave, however it wasn’t so much as how many they had caught but more the method they were using to return the fish, when a fishery spends a lot of money on good quality fish we would like to think that anglers would treat them with a bit of care and not bring them into the boat and then just toss them back into the water, these two lads were warned but continued there method if they expand on there excuses by verbally attacking me then I will put the phone video on you tube.
