Goldenloch october 01 / 2012 week 40
Not much of a change this past week apart from the heavy wind and rain for a few days, I think we came of pretty lightly this time and as we had guys out fishing on the Tuesday it obvious that the weather was a lot worse in other parts of the country, these lads did well, considering it was pretty gusty if I remember correctly each had around six, the rest of the week was pretty quite and the fishing was exceptionally good from the bank up until Saturday morning when suddenly it seemed that all the fish moved out into the centre of the loch, for weeks its been easy for bank anglers to catch fish and all of a sudden nothing, the only thing that has changed or been different was a visiting cormorant which was here early on Saturday morning, but after a quick shift I thought that there would be no lasting effects, we had six beginners on Saturday morning and due to the lack of visible fish, four of them ended up out on boats which turned out to be a smart move, as they all caught fish as did everyone else fishing from boats, Sunday was more or less the same until evening when we had an amazing rise of fish right up the bank side, hundreds and hundreds of fish all fighting for flies and nymphs probably the biggest rise that I have seen this year, it was a beautiful evening with just a light breeze mild and dull.
