Goldenloch april 09 / 2012 week 15
Anglers at the Goldenloch have found the fishing a bit harder these last few days as the air temperature has dropped quite significantly since last weekend, the fish seemed to have formed shoal and are moving slowly round the loch, for those that happen to get it right and find the right fly and the right spot some amazing fishing can be had, 2 brothers from Dundee on Thursday afternoon caught and released loads of fish using diawl bachs, both commenting that they had never fished like that before, Don Stewart Glasgow using dry flies had 12 C & R, but for some lads they have only had 2 and 3s, M Williams Bridge of Earn 3 nice fish as did D Graham, Kenoway, On Tuesday we had 2 inches of snow and snow all day, and true to form a couple of anglers turned up and to give them credit they didn’t go out in a boat but rather fished at the top buckie / hut where they could shelter between the squalls of rain / snow they did not have a disappointing day with 9 fish caught between them, all returned, R Forlan Leven in only catching 1 at 2.4lbs still enjoyed his day and a complete beginner on a instructor course, Julie Graham, catching 1, this is the third novice to catch a fish, we have now completed nearly 30 of our basic learn to fish courses with the two boys teaching doing a great job, every single client attending has left with the intention of taking up the sport, what we are doing is giving these people the chance to try some fishing and also advice on what to do, where and what to use, they are loving it, for anyone interested please just call and book a session we supply all equipment / kit that is necessary and someone will give you instruction and get you fishing its good fun and not that hard.
