Goldenloch march 19 / 2012 week 12
Really nice weather saw some glorious days at the Goldenloch and plenty of fish being caught very late in the afternoon, Saturday Rab Grierson and Jock Hennen, Methil, had 4 for 10lbns with many fish returned, as did Kieran Westland who was using a green damsel, Don Stewart, Glasgow and John Gray, Auchtermuchty had a great time with 18 returned making up for their previous visit when John had blanked, just now it seems to be all about when the fish are feeding as the numbers of fish in the loch are high its surprising to see on some days that much less are being caught early in the day, however yesterday, Sunday started a very warm day, with no wind, there were loads of swirls’ and rings in the water at 7am then it ended quickly as the temperature dropped and the wind started, by 9am the loch was positively blustery anglers arriving then were faced with a choppy water, this wind slowly went away until late afternoon when the fish started to rise again Mr H Imgram and his son, Stirling, fishing from the bank till dark had 6 and 5 using buzzers and small wets, both commenting that the also had a lot of offers as well. The Osprey returned on Saturday very quickly catching its supper and left.
