Goldenloch august -29-11
It seems to be the start of an early winter, temperatures dropped 4 degrees on Sunday and boy did that help the fishing as it turned out to be one of the best days of the year, fish were rising to the fly, anglers were catching on virtually everything they used, with the water now crystal clear and the weeds well under control the insect and larvae hatches in the last few weeks have been quite spectacular but the fishing in these few weeks has not been easy as the fish seem to have been very selective when they fed if they fed and that was the biggest problem, Last week a load of fish at 1.5 lbs was introduced and that has proven to be a big success as anglers are now getting a reasonable catch but now that the temperature has dropped the bigger fish that have been very lethargic are now starting to get caught, with another load due this week of fish very similar to the last load we should see some really good catches in the next few weeks.
