Goldenloch july -04-11
This last week at the Goldenloch was a bit strange Monday till Friday saw pretty good fishing with most getting good catches especially up the bank side, fishing is excellent in the morning up till around 11 when it then becomes a bit harder, however it picks up again late afternoon and then gets really good towards 9pm at night, during the day from say noon till five it can be hard however it has been noticed on more than a few occasions that the anglers present all seem to be pulling lures, this is not working at the moment as the most successful anglers are all working with dry flies or small buzzers, CDC and nymphs’ Saturday and Sunday were very challenging with Sunday definitely giving the anglers a really hard time flat calm water and a blistering sun in a sometimes cloudless sky does not make for good fishing, however some can get it right Rab Grierson and friend J Hennan both from Methil had 18 between them using a home tied sedge and from the bank A Gibson BoE had 5 using dry flies.
