Goldenloch april -25-11
Weather wise at the Goldenloch its been nearly perfect this last week and the conditions for fishing have been excellent, Saturday morning saw a coldish start to the day however, with a fog hanging over the water, but for those lads on early it must have been suiting the fish as they went straight into catching, this lasted for a few hours and anyone arriving between 8am and 10am, they had a great time, with the sun breaking out, the fishing slowed down till about 5pm and then it burst back into life again, the several lads fishing in the evening were treated to a real bonanza, as the fish started to feed of the surface on a small greyish fly, for those fishing between 10am and then it could probably best be described as quite hard as bourne out by some lads who only managed a fish or two, annoying them was the fact that on arrival they could see and were told that the fishing had been tremendous and on their getting onto the water finding it really difficult, Sunday was completely different and saw the fish being caught steady all day, however it was a really quite day, mostly due I think to the Celtic Rangers match and the varying activities on in Fife, for an Easter weekend it was not what we would normally have expected, I am wondering if it is going to be another quite weekend this next week, with all you big hardy anglers, sitting sipping tea, eating little sannies, waving little flags, at all the street parties or will they defy the wives and go fishing, lets hope we see you at the fishing. There is one amazing story this last week almost a year ago to the day, two brothers were fishing on the loch and one caught and landed a double catch two fish at one time, and it was recorded on a phone, and yes on Saturday in amongst the many fish that they caught the same brother caught another double catch, and again it was recorded and can be watched on you tube just copy and paste this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERxm8zdsz3E
