Goldenloch february -21-11
At the Goldenloch for a brief few weeks it looked like 2011 was starting to be normal, or what we used to think what normal was, however this last week has seen a return to very wet, atrocious windy cold conditions, as for anglers there’s been a few and they all deserve a medal for even attempting to fish, the biggest problem obviously is the cold which just eats into your bones and especially the fingers, Saturday morning saw a few lads out mostly in boats, and it was wet really wet, however they all caught fish and it seems that the yellow dancer was the fly to have, during the week it was a different story as the fish seemed to be quite close into the sides and lads fishing from the jetties did far better Ken Bell, Perth caught 5 releasing 3, Mr Shepherd, Dundee, 9 releasing 6, Craig Peattie, Glenrothes, 7 released 5, and William Peattie, Leslie, 4 releasing 2 using a dancer, Sunday morning saw quite a few lads arriving and all taking boats, but the day turned really cold and it looked like there was not a lot going to be caught, but a couple of lads went onto the bank and had a stormer of a day, using bright buzzers and a Montana Jim Graves, Stirling and his brother in law, a beginner, caught 11 all returned commenting that there were loads of fish really close into the margins, which seemed to be feeding in the weeds, also catching a few was Alec Burns Kirkcaldy, using a Montana and Damsel he had 11 returning 9.
