Goldenloch october-18-10
Much better fishing these past few days at the Goldenloch, with all anglers’ getting full bags and more, the water is crystal clear and the fish are swimming freely in all areas of the loch, from the bank fish are being seen and caught all the time and are giving a really good fight, several anglers commenting that they had had loads of offers and with fish being caught and released quite regularly, it made the bank option seem very interesting, however it was the boys in the boats that were having steady catches, Bill Smart Denbeath 9 keeping 2 for 4.5lbs, S Milne 9 all returned, A Hyndman Muirhead 9 keeping 2, However credit has to go to some of the younger lads that have been fishing in the last few days especially lads like Sam Angus, from Hamilton, Perth, who caught 7, returning 5, using a damsel fly, also Tobby Brown, Kirkcaldy, getting 3, for 8lbs on a yellow dancer, Lochgelly High School, taking advantage of our offer of free fishing for Schools, brought 9 lads, Brian McGlashan teaching was well impressed by their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, they then went on to catch fish, so all in all its not a bad start to the winter season, however yesterday was cold and its worth remembering to bring some really warm clothes I am sure C Arnott, Kirkcaldy, will agree it may seem warm at your house, but out on a boat it a different story.
