goldenloch july-26-10
Its been a really interesting week at the Goldenloch with some lads visiting for the first time and getting great catches like Joe and Kenny Purves, Lochgelly, who managed to catch 3 each plus returning a few including some cracking big brown trout, one nearly in double figures and some lads who have been before catching nothing, however its all about covering the ground some days it’s the bank fishing that is by far the best and on others its from the boats but what I will say is that the fish very much are only feeding on Green / olive flies such as diawl bachs or nymphs with the old favourite a green peter doing very well, so fishing with lures and fritz aint doing so well you have got to change, most if not nearly all have left here in the last week with some really nice fish and putting back a few as well, Graham Ramsay, Kirkcaldy had a 8.75lb bow in his bag of 3, Alex Millar Cupar using a green cruncher had 3 with his best about 4lbs all returned, regulars Grierson and Hennan, Methil had some really nice fish all caught on buzzers, Russell Robertson Glenfarg using nymphs and buzzers, 3, as did B Stewart Dundee, however well worth a mention this week is Alex Burns, Kirkcaldy, who caught his second anchor in a space of only a few weeks, over the years we as you would imagine lose anchors of boats for a variety of reasons and they are never seen again but thanks to Alex we now have 2 back, he also caght with his cormorant fly a nice brace of trout.
