goldenloch july-05-10
At the Goldenloch its been yet another really hot week and like the previous week we have had some good days fishing and some poorer days, what is obvious though, is the amount of feeding readily available in the loch, it has just exploded and the fish are just cruising around, they certainly aren’t looking to hard for fisherman’s flies, however it has to be noted that the sunrise just now is about 2.3am which means that anglers arriving here to fish at say 8 or 9 are actually arriving in what would be the middle of the day for a trout and as they feed mostly in the mornings they are going to be pretty hard to catch at that time of day, this week we have a few small brownies coming as a little bit of fun for the anglers at least they will be darting around looking for small flies, its anything we can do to try and make your visit with us worthwhile, if this works and makes the fishing a bit more fun then I think we would easily consider upping our brownie content to about 40% from the current 20% , our weed problem still exists in an area, best described as right in the middle, the bank down where the tee shaped jetties are and along the shore front is completely clear, at the far end and the small bay at the top just have little patches and clearing and the bottom bay has weed lying on the bottom which has been cut and is dead, just not removed as the water is too deep to get at it, by the middle of this week most will have been addressed, if its not to windy.
