Goldenloch apr-12-10
The last few days at the Goldenloch has seen a dramatic change in the weather and a fantastic warming of the outside air, the effect this has had on the loch has been tremendous and we have seen fish rising and feeding however the majority of the water is still very cold and most of the fish are still quite deep, only the inquisitive ones are coming up too enjoy the warm surface water, but that hasn’t stopped people having a great day the lads from Bonnyrig the White Van Boys did well with two of them getting well into double figures and also the lads from Kirkcaldy fishing with Paul Merrifield having an equally great time with everyone his party getting several fish, beginners have had a reasonably interesting visits to the loch most of them being shown by some of the regulars how to catch fish and succeeding, the dark green weed that survived the winter under the ice has now started to break up and come ashore and is not causing as much of a problem as it did when the ice melted, with a new load of fish due to-morrow the summer fishing should more or less have started. ( this report is a tad late due to the next door farmer digging up the new phone line which obviously hadn’t been buried deep enough, by BT, and here is the funny part BT came and fixed ours. Within 24hrs, as we are BT customers but have left everyone else’s line broken as they are with other phone companies)
