Goldenloch mar-22-10
Its been a tough week for anglers at the Goldenloch mostly however its been a weather related problems, out of the last seven days, five have been bitter cold, one pretty average and one glorious day, with another cold looking morning this morning, the level of fish stocked in the loch is now at what we would have mid summer yet they can be hard to find, especially on the cold days, with the touch of weed that we have going deep, with a gold head, is not really an option unless you find a spot that is clear, but if you have the right fly fish the right depth then you are going to be well rewarded, John Leckie, Strathmiglo, fishing with black buzzers and red heads having a great day returning 8, as did Frank Todd, Livingstone, who was having his first days fishing this season with his new rod returning 9, On Saturday which was the warm bright day lads being equally successful were John Gray Auchtermuchty who had 12 all returned and his buddy Don Stewart Glasgow had 11, Mr Thomson, from Cellardyke using an ace of spades had quite a few as did M Lister and A Robson both from Dunfermline they were also using an ace of spades, however others have not had it so well, Betty Henderson fishing with Bob and Shaun had probably their poorest days fishing ever with 1 fish caught, but it was a particularly cold day with a horrible changing wind.
