Goldenloch feb-22-10
The past week at the Goldenloch has seen some very cold days and nights and also some very warm afternoons, although ice covers most of the loch, it’s not that thick and for those willing to spend a little time and effort it does not take long to clear a space to fish, Martin Nicol, Perth did this on Thursday and was rewarded with his first fish of the season a nice 3lb rainbow and 2 which he rereleased, the following day , Friday, husband and wife Mr and Mrs Harrow, Dundee who only came out for a look see, decided to have a go, and after some breaking and pushing bits of ice managed to catch 2 using black and green lures, its nice to see people enjoying themselves and the whole thing about fishing at the Goldenloch is that it is for fun, and should be enjoyed as such, watching the Harrows clearing and breaking the ice alone was hilarious but when they caught the first fish, and then another, the day was just side splitting. If anglers are out there that are frustrated about not getting out fishing, feel free to come and visit even if it’s just for a walk or just getting out the house its not just kids that enjoy standing throwing boulders at the ice and watching them either bounce or go through
