Goldenloch nov 30-10-09
Again its been a reasonably quiet week at the Goldenloch but its pretty obvious that the weather is again the major factor in anglers deciding whether they are going fishing or not, and as the weather has been very varied and the forecasters comments for each day has been bad, deciding when and when not to go fishing cant be easy, but the fishing has been pretty good, its certainly is not been easy but the fish are showing all over the loch and if its warm or sunny they will take flies of the surface, however most are being caught in the sub regions of the water not by what you would imagine however, they are taking weighted small flies that are similar to snatchers, I suppose in many ways a mini fritz is the obvious comparison as Rab Paterson from Leven found out yesterday by catching 9 and Ray Easton, Bankfoot catching 4 all from the bank using a yellow dancer, someone else using a fritz was David Bellfield, Kirkcaldy who had a pair of nice trout, Allan our resident instructor is still available for lessons and now is as good a time as any if you wish to come and polish up on your casting, he has offered to do some fly tying lessons for a small group in the lodge so anyone interested please get in touch with me.
