Its been shocking weather during the last week with just about every condition being thrown at us except snow, last Wednesday, Thursday saw a huge amount of cold rain fall, which dropped the temperature of the water by a good few degrees and coupled with a north east wind that blew on Friday it was not an easy few days for fishing, but there were fishermen and they worked hard at getting the right flies and results, Jim Drummond, Wormit well wrapped up caught a brace of rainbow for 6lbs using a Gold Headed Damsel, Martin Nicol, Perth had a couple he returned using dry flies, as did Andy Bugerseed from Perth who was using buzzers, this past weekend was interesting in that it seems the fishing has changed to more of winter conditions with the fish now quite active in the mornings and early afternoon, A Hyndman, Muirhead had 2 for 5lbs and returned 5 using a yellow buzzer, Jim Wilson Dalgety Bay only fishing for an hour had 3 using a Pearly Wickham’s, Both The Burns brothers on Saturday had a good nights fishing catching 6 each, their friend Les Wilson, Glenrothes, catching 2 for 6.5lbs using an orange diawl bach, Its been a good week this last week with nearly everyone catching fish even two absolute beginners managed a couple lets hope and I am sure it will be a good backend to the season.
