Its been a very frustrating week for anglers not because of the fishing but the weather allowing them to fish, what have you missed well it seems that the afternoon fishing has picked up big time, Jim Wilson Dalgety Bay arrived to-day, Sunday, on a day that the weather forecasters said was going to be horrendous, Jim was delighted to be greeted with a flat calm and sunshine and fish showing all over the loch, very quickly he started catching using a small consett budgie and within an hour had caught and realised 9 fish, having had a great few hours sport his comment was that the best part was the fish were chasing and attacking his flies making it really good fun fishing, earlier in the day Jim Burns and friend had caught 4 fish for 10lbs and returned 8, and the day before John Grey Auchtermuchty, and Don Stewart, Glasgow, between them had 4 for 9lbs returning 12, their comment was Brilliant but freezing, on Friday Martin Nicol, Perth had a beautiful 7.5 lb rainbow that had obviously been in the loch for a while and another at 2.5lbs, Martin was using a tadpole and was hoping to catch a nice fish to give to his daughter in Aberdeen well done Martin, The Cowdenbeath Trio fishing on Wednesday had a great day leaving with 3 fish each a total of 20lbs using yellow dancers and blood worms, it seems that the fishing has now settled into winter mode and generally fishing pretty well at the moment everyone is catching something and it is a pleasure for us to see happy anglers, just a pity the forecasters cant get it right.
