Goldenloch 27/10/2008
Horrendous windy wet conditions on Saturday at the Goldenloch saw 3 anglers fishing and everyone of them has written in the book that they had a great days fishing, Allan Gibson Bridge of Earn had 2 for 4lbs and D Stewart and I Gray between them had 6, Sunday wasn’t quite as bad, but it was blustery and the morning started of really cold, getting warmer due to the fact that the sun managed to break out, Jim Ward, Kirkcaldy, using an orange lure had 3 for 6.5lbs and A Fenton, Glenrothes, 3 for 6 lbs, returning a brownie, it seems that the fish due to the very windy cold winds have returned to the deeper water and are much harder to catch, especially now since the weed has collapsed, if we get some settled weather which will allow the water to settle then we would imagine that the fish should start coming back to the surface, there are still huge amounts of natural feeding in the water and occasionally when there is a calm warm spell, flies can be seen hatching on the surface.
