Goldenloch 20/10/2008
Wild, wet and windy weekend at the Goldenloch, Saturday wasn’t that bad and everyone fishing caught a reasonable amount of fish, the early morning boys however did get the best of the weather and the best fishing, Ray Eastwood and B Mitchell, Bankfoot had 5 or 6 fish in a quick couple of hours fishing, S Cassels and S Harper, Glenrothes between them caught 10 which were all returned using various flies, 12 year old Jamie Bough, Coatbridge caught and landed his first fish a 2.5lb rainbow using a pheasant tailed nymph, Sunday however saw a really wild day with high winds and driving rain not being put of with the weather Allan Gibson Bridge of Earn had a good day from the bank getting plenty of offers and returning a few and Scott Paddow, Falkirk using a black Tadpole had 2 for 4lbs turning a few before having to give in to the high winds, During the week however the fishing has been excellent with catches in all areas, Derek Bell, Newburgh had a great day and commented that it was the best fishing that he has had in years, Derek was using CDC buzzers and returned a few, Father and son Allan and Ewan Hyndman Muirhead had an excellent couple of days both catching several fish on each visit, Steve McBride, Perth also had a good days sport with 3 returned using a Coral lure.
