Goldenloch 01/09/2008
Suddenly at the Goldenloch it just all come together with the evening temperature dropping last week due to the arrival of autumn the fish are moving everywhere and anglers are getting really good catches, its not over easy but a lot better than it was a month ago, the fish are still picky about what they are taking but a least now when they decide to go for a fly it’s a reasonable knock rather than a light touch, great sport and enjoyable days fishing is what its all about, and this past few days everyone coming of the water are happy, the bank anglers have definitely had a really good time as the fish seem to be coming right into the sides, Ken Bell, Perth using buzzers had 2 for 5lbs as did Martin Nicol and Jim Paton, Auchtermuchty, fishing with his buddy D Curry, Kirkcaldy both with 2 returning a few using Diawl Bachs, however the best fishing had to be Saturday and Sunday with everyone getting bagged up with the exception of one and his boat partner had several, Jake Drummond and Craig Davidson fishing from the bank had 3 each using hoppers and sedges, J Gordon, Kelty getting 3 for 9lbs and returning 2 using a parachute dry and D Flavell Abernethy 2 for 4.5lbs using a PTN, the boys from John Lewis A/C had an exceptionally good day and when departing all announced that they had enjoyed their days sport with a bag of 3 each averaging 3lbs each.
