Goldenloch 16/06/2008
Fishing at the Goldenloch has again been hard this past week however anglers are still catching fish and most importantly are having a good day, the fish are moving on the surface in all areas of the loch but are taking something in particular that just cant be imitated, looking back the records and reports the same thing has happened for the past five or six years it could be the huge amount of food that is in the water or just that the weather is so changeable as we have had a lot of swirling winds this year and sharp cold gusts that last for a few hours, the good news is that this morning the water seems to be a lot clearer and there have been fish jumping everywhere, D Gonsales and Tanya, Auchtermuchty caught 2 for 4lbs using buzzers as did Derek Bell Newburgh, John Ried, Kinglassie, fishing early had 9 all returned and his son in law B King 1, Jim Young Glenrothes had no problem catching fish with 5 returned in just a couple of hours as did Dave Wilson, Kingskettle, however the 4 white van boys from Bonnyrigg on a days outing found the fishing rally hard with only 1 fish each, but all had said that they should have had lots more as they had been getting loads of offers and fish on and lost, they had a great day enjoying the surroundings and the fact that they could see fish moving everywhere it just added to there frustrations, Allan Gibson, Bridge of Earn, who has his own special flies for the Goldenloch had yet again a great days fishing on Friday with quite a few returned, looking forward to the next few weeks we need heavy rain badly as the water level is really low.
