Goldenloch 31/03/2008
Anglers arriving at the Goldenloch on Sunday were pleasantly pleased with the conditions and it wasn’t long before fish were being caught, Billy Harris Cupar left with 2 for 4lbs with one being an Artic Char which was in excellent condition, Alan Gibson Bridge of Earn returned 4 using Buzzers, Rudy Kopczyk Kilmany had a great day using peacock spiders and weighted in 2 for 5lbs returning a few, Jim Burns, Glenrothes had his usual good day with 4 for 10.5lbs however his buddy Les Wilson struggled a bit this time only catching 1 but it was nearly 3lbs Les had brought his girlfriend with him to learn to fish so perhaps he had been distracted a bit, Mr and Mrs Brown, Cupar who are normally warm weather fishers were fishing from the bank Audrey missed quite a few however Jim had 3 for 6.75 lbs he was using a Montana and commented that he missed so many fish as did another angler Bruce Sutherland Kirkcaldy who arrived late in the day with the sun going down not expecting to catch much but was surprised to see fish rising he eventually left with 4 for 9lbs, with the water temperature slowly starting to rise we should see a fair bit of activity in the loch now, it was however noted on Sunday that their was a massive fly hatch about 2pm and in the water there could be seen a lot of buzzers and small insects.
