Fishing for trout in Scotland is supposed to be fun and what makes it enjoyable has got to be first and foremost nice weather although we all accept that we have to go fishing when it’s a little bit windy or wet because we never really get the ideal day however this week again has been atrocious, the wind very rarely stopped and the rain just kept on stopping a starting, strangely however Sunday saw flat calm over the water for a few hours, Stewart Milne fishing C&R on Sunday had a really good day and in his catch had a cracking well formed fish of approx 7lbs which was carefully returned Mr Milne and son during one of the really wet and windy days had 4 for 10lbs and returned 6 with all their fish being caught using a dry line and small wet flies, Brian Stewart Dundee and Willie Robertson arrived late on Friday and missed all the big wind and had a great afternoons fishing Brian putting back 7 and Willie catching 2 for 5lbs
