Goldenloch 14/01/2008
Fly fishing at the Goldenloch should be very good this spring yesterday when the ice melted that was covering the loch these past few days, we saw fish on the surface looking for grub, Mr Gibb who was just visiting for the afternoon not fishing and I spent a few hours just going around the margins looking into the water and we were both amazed at the amount of feeding that was in the water loads of small beetles and shrimps and little fly like creatures that were swimming about, while we were doing this fish were active in and about where the weed beds used to be and also at the jetty end of the loch, two of the three loads of fish arrived this past week including the artic char which should be by now quite settled, since their arrival no one has been fishing due to the weather and we are very keen to see how the anglers enjoy them.
